Hellbender Hootenanny // every spring
The Hellbender Hootenanny is a local benefit show to raise money for Central PA Conservancy in the hopes that one day the eastern hellbender can return to our local waterways.
It features a spectrum of bands—from folk to alt country to doom metal—all raising hell and money for our local environment. It's loud, it's weird, and it's for a good cause.
The eastern hellbender is North America's largest salamander and a key indicator of stream health. They've largely disappeared from Central PA due to pollution and habitat loss. Supporting the Conservancy's work helps protect and restore the waterways these creatures need to survive.
Whether you want to play, help organize, or just stay in the loop for next year—we'd love to hear from you.
